Luck By Chance may win brownie points in manifestation of reality but fails on the entertainment front.
Farhan akhtar s sister Zoya akhtar factu directorial venture has successfully extracted performances from farhan akhtar , konkana sen sharma , dimple kapadia, and the foremost Rishi Kapoor. Its sad to say that the film looks more like a Rishi kapoor movie encompassing contemporary actors . He steals the show in every frame hes seen in & is the top positive of the movie . He gives you a reason to laugh in the monotony you seem to be mired in. Hrithik is average on his part and looks a wasted actor in the movie . Isha Sharvani needs to brush up her accent & faster at that . She mightve looked pretty and sexy but still certainly lacks d enigma of a bollywood heroine . Konkana Sen is outstanding as the struggling actress . She emotes particularly the grim parts of the character s life with aplomb. Farhan impresses yet again as an actor. He needs to improve on his 'crying' though .Juhi chawla carries off the role of rishi kapoor s wife with elan.
She induces the viewer to laugh and smile with her.The cameos by aamir , kareena, manish malhotra, anurag kashyap, abhishek, john abraham ,rani mukherjee, and akshay khanna et al add reality to the plot . SRK though for 5 minutes impacts the story heavily
Talking about the negatives(which this film never seems to fall short of ). The film really never takes off . The fact that you feel that "the story now takes off" just when the film is about to end corroborates what a damp squib this movie is . At times in the movie you feel that the story is a blatant copy of 'fashion' with things going ditto the bhandarkar way . The film is incomplete and clearly looks to be the work of a 'not so experienced director' . It unsurprisingly induces you to yawn also . It baffles me that other critics have gone for a lenient 4 on 5. But i beg to differ and have no hesitation in stating that THE MOVIE DESERVES 2.5 ON 5. Go see the movie and if you dont feel my way tell me and i will cease reviewing movies altogether .( but it is highly recommended that you dont waste your time and money on this overhyped and annoying saga ).

And yeah, "enigma of a bollywood heroine"? Bollywood heroines donot have enigma!! They are all bimbos. But that's just my personal opinion.
I am kind of disappointed that you didn't talk about the ending of the movie. Eventhough, I haven't seen it yet, I've heard a lot about it's feminist ending.
Plus, I LOVE FARHAN AKHTAR!! How could you do this to him???? :(

ummmm lol. well i also like farhan as much and i havent criticised him as such. its d muvee dat i cynicized. and yea lol u r right on d enigma front. but dis i wrote on a comparitive basis. ummm ending yes. ending is turbulent and a feminist stand is way too apparent. thanx again 4 remindin me about that. whoa u know so much about muvees u havent seen. lol wat will happen wen u start watchin dem? lolz
